2011 Audi A3 Sportback: what owners report
- Across all 8P A3s (2004-2012), not just the Sportback, French 2.0 TDI 140 owners most often report turbo and EGR valve failures, then worn dual-mass flywheels and clutches; the 1.9 TDI also wears flywheels and clutches.2004–2012
- Petrol 8P A3s of every body style (2004-2012) have their own weak spots: oil consumption on the 1.8 TFSI and timing chain wear on the 1.2 and 1.4 TFSI.2004–2012
- French owners of all 8P A3 versions are split on its reliability, with slightly more negative than positive votes, and strongly dislike its after-sales service and upkeep costs.2004–2012
