2016 Audi A4 Avant: what owners report

German TÜV data for the A4 and A5 together shows B9 springs breaking more than twice as often as average at 6-9 years, and a B9 Avant check notes worn suspension often found at inspections.2015–2022
In the UK 2021 Driver Power owner survey the A4 managed only 65th place of 75 cars; the result covers the A4 range, not the Avant alone.2015–2022
B9 service actions covered faulty auxiliary coolant pumps on the 2.0 TFSI and poor welds in the front seat backrest frames (A4-wide, not specific to the Avant).2015–2022
German press calls the B9 Avant one of the cleanest cars at the TÜV, passing with unusually few defects even at high mileage.2015–2022
