BMW 5 Series 1999

After 25 years of ownership and following retirement it’s time to say goodbye to a faithful old friend. BMW E39 Automatic 5 series 2.5l petrol straight six M52 engine. Titan silver over black. M Sport steering wheel, Climate control, BMW style 48 radial wheels, walnut trim, Michelin efficient grip tyres all round with 3mm tread, electric comfort seats with lumbar support, BMW 6 disc CD changer in boot. Until recently this car has been a daily driver for me and I’m the second owner. I bought it as an approved BMW when it was 2 years old in April 2001. I changed the cloth interior for leather but not the door cards. Good points include, in last couple of months - prop shaft bearings, DISA valve, rocker cover gasket and new battery. Jacking points have been welded in last couple of years. Engine runs very smooth. Has original tool kit and jack in boot, full spare wheel, first aid kit under passenger seat all 4 keys (2 master keys, valet key and wallet key). MOT to 16.8.27. All original manuals and documents. Lots of service history. Bad point is that there is some rust starting to bubble in a few places. This is a very reluctant sale but retirement means that we really only need one car and not three so it’s the right time.
