2014 Dacia Sandero Stepway: what owners report

Electrical faults are the most common issue in Carbuyer's owner survey of the 2013–2021 car, and three French owners report problems such as a failed central unit or ABS and traction warning lights.2013–2021
Three UK owners report clutch judder or sticking, and French 0.9 TCe owners describe clutch wear near 90,000 km or cold-start judder; two near-identical 2014 reviews describe engine failure at about 50,000 miles.2013–2019
The interior is basic, with cheap plastics; French owners also criticise the finish, such as dashboard plastic that ages badly and trim under the steering wheel coming loose.2013–2019
Performance divides owners: the 0.9 TCe is called short of torque or sluggish in eco mode, and one French owner finds the 1.5 dCi 90 slow to accelerate.2013–2019
