2006 Honda Civic: what owners report

On US-market 1.8 petrol cars, the engine block can crack and leak coolant, leading to overheating at around 100,000 miles; Honda extended block cover to 10 years, but many owners were outside it.2006
UK owners often complain that the paint chips too easily, and US owners of 2009 cars report clear coat peeling.2006–2011
Many find the ride firm or crashy, and the spoiler across the rear window limits the view behind.2006–2017
Among 2006-2021 cars, US owner complaints on CarComplaints peak on the 2006-2008 model years and are far lower for most later years, with a spike for 2016.2006–2021
