Hyundai Kona 2018

2018 Hyundai Kona: what owners report

• US complaints concentrate on the 2018 and 2019 model years, with engine faults the largest category; 2019 owners also report fuel pump leaks and stalling.2018–2019
• German breakdown data lists failed starter batteries as a recurring roadside fault on Konas registered in 2018 through 2021 and in 2023.2018–2023
• Space is the common practical gripe: a few 2022 US reviewers find the car small, one calling shopping trips hard, and UK owners rate practicality lowest.2018–2023
• UK owners put the first-generation Kona top of the 2021 Driver Power satisfaction survey and fourth in 2022; only 4.5% reported any fault in the 2020 survey.2018–2023
