Description
This 1970 Jaguar XJ6 is a classic example of the Series 1 coupe. The car has been used as a restoration project over the past two years, with several mechanical improvements made including new front seatbelts, rewiring of the overdrive system, new hood spring pins, a new steering rack bushing, transmission mount bushing, new battery, new starter solenoid, new windshield washer kit, rust repairs, and a clean engine bay. The interior is in excellent condition with no wear in the back, though the front seats have some creasing and the headrests are black instead of tan. There are small pea-sized dents near the headlights and a noticeable door ding on the near side, as well as respraying with cheaper paint that doesn’t match. The boot has severe cracking and surface rust, as does the left front quarter due to weld splatter. Overall, the car drives well for its age with careful attention when shifting into third gear. The odometer reads 12,500 km (~7,800 miles) and the vehicle has had three owners. Located in Tauranga, Bay of Plenty, New Zealand.

Why Choose This Vehicle?
A rare find for classic car enthusiasts, this Jaguar XJ6 offers a blend of vintage charm and recent mechanical upgrades. With minimal rust issues and a clean engine bay, it’s ready for restoration or daily use. The low mileage and comprehensive maintenance history make it a solid investment for those seeking a piece of automotive history.
