Mazda Mx-5 2008

Cracking little Mazda MX-5. Lightweight machine with the lighter 1.8 engine. Four Avon ZV7 tyres grip nicely and it’s properly set up geometry wise. Because the suspension is adjustable in camber, caster and toe it does need to be setup every now and again - it was miles out when I got it and the previous owner didn’t enjoy driving it - well that’s why! Four decent tyres and a proper setup later and it’s a great car. Had it for a few years as I race mk1s and wanted a MK3 for the road. Ive really not driven it a huge amount (as you can see from MOT history). With a car like this it won’t be factory fresh so some bad points:

A previous owner seems to have polished the passenger door with a Brillo pad or something!! It’s pretty dull and if it’s your thing you might consider some paint.

No service history - although I’ve serviced it as I do the race car (lots of new oil - last about 1k miles ago) and it looks like it’s been fairly well looked after.

At some point suspension bits and pieces will need looking at depending on where you drive and store it (it’s in my garage at the moment) - I.e. salty roads etc.

Bolster wear in the driver’s seat.

Good points:

• Android auto JVC upgraded AV (wired)
• Four decent tyres
• All works as it should - no faults - lovely to drive

Reason for sale: Winter is not the best time to sell a convertible, but we’ve moved to a place which needs lots of work and I’d like some more machinery to help with that - but I’ve been told I have too many machines already and in fairness I don’t really drive this very much.

Test drives will need day insurance and ID or I can take you out in it. With it being dark most of the time now you’re welcome to take a look in the bright lights of the workshop.
