The 2007–2014 W204's rear axle can rust until it breaks, and Mercedes has paid for new rear axles as goodwill; a broken subframe near 118,000 miles is the top complaint on the 2009 US C300.2007–2014
W204 diesels with the OM 651 engine (from late 2008) wear timing-chain tensioners and suffer leaking or failed piezo injectors; water pumps on diesels built in spring and summer 2009 also leaked.2008–2014
