A completely restored (3.5 year project) hot hatch convertible

This stunning 1990 Peugeot 205 CTi Cabriolet has undergone an extensive 3.5-year restoration project. The journey began with a corroded, non-running engine, which was replaced with a 1985 205 CTi engine sourced from Nelson and freighted to Auckland. The car had a rusted left-hand side floor and a damaged front seat cross member, which were addressed by a sandblasting and panel shop. The exterior was then meticulously cleaned, undersealed, and repainted in metallic charcoal to match the original finish. All black plastic side trims were replaced and refitted with new red contrast center strips. The interior received a full makeover: badly ruined seats were discarded and replaced with new front and rear seats, and all black plastic components were repainted and refitted with new red contrast strips. The manual soft top is in excellent condition and can be folded down or back by a single person.
