- German TÜV data shows both the 2008-2016 and 2016-2024 cars with fewer defect-free results than average at every age, led by suspension mounts and worn brake discs, plus springs, dampers and steering joints on the older car.2008–2024
- German ADAC breakdown data for the 2008-2016 car points to coolant hoses, starter motors and electrical faults in air conditioning and locking, and to weak batteries on 2014-2016 cars.2008–2016
- The EDC dual-clutch gearbox on 2008-2024 cars can suffer early clutch wear, bringing jerky starts and poor shifts that are costly to put right.2008–2024
