2017 Subaru BRZ: Non-Running, Engine Failed, Sold As-Is (Swap/Track Project)

Selling my 6-speed MT 2017 BRZ-Sportech, bought new and driven by me since 2017. Clean title.

Important: the engine has failed. While driving home, I heard ticking that followed engine speed, and then the engine suddenly shut off. It turned over once on each of two restart attempts and then stopped. My mechanic suspects a spun bearing or rod issue. It has not been torn down, so the exact cause is unconfirmed. The car is not drivable. The engine and transmission are staying with the car.

• Mileage: 365,038 km (engine and chassis, all original)

• Engine failed. All other components intact and in working order.

• Windshield replaced a few years ago due to a stone chip.

Condition
• Front bumper lip has nicks and dings from highway driving
• Passenger-side fog light is damaged from a stone
• One or two small spots of surface rust forming, most noticeable on the roof just behind the windshield
• Overall body is in decent shape for its age

With the complete manual driveline and LSD still in the car, it’s a good starting point for a swap, or for someone who wants to rebuild the FA20.
