Up for sale is a 1990 2-door Volkswagen Golf Mk2 5-speed manual with only 119,782 original kilometers. It’s a mostly completed project that starts, runs, and drives but doesn’t stop yet.

I have two small kids and recently bought a new car, and simply don’t have the time to complete it. Awesome opportunity for a VW enthusiast looking for a, low-mileage classic.

The body is sitting on a upgraded suspension setup, and the original beige interior is in beautiful shape (just needs a new headliner to be complete).

Key Details & Upgrades

Engine & Drivetrain: Stock 1.8L RV 8V paired with a 5-speed manual transmission and Magnaflow exhaust.

Suspension & Stance: Bilstein Monotube shocks all around with H&R 1.5” lowering springs. Fitted with H&R 4-to-5 bolt conversion adapters, running 15” Mk4 TDI rims with brand-new tires.

Engine/Cooling: New radiator, water pump, starter, plugs, wires, coolant lines, and expansion tank.

Front End: New control arms, ball joints, tie rods, and bushings, Bilstein Monotube Shocks and Struts paired with H&R Springs(1.5” lowered)

Body: patch panels were installed on rear fenders and gas cap, and door was patched nit not completed, near front driver fender installed still black, may need additional body work as the car has been sitting.

Brake Project (Included with Sale)

The car currently needs brakes, a bit of body work, wiper arm, horn, water pump v-belt and the bumper put back on.

Complete front brake overhaul: New calipers, rotors, and pads.

Complete rear drum-to-disc conversion kit: New stub axles, rotors, bearings, calipers (with brackets), pads as well as tons of spare parts like fuel filter, front bearings etc.
