Selling my Jetta, rough on the outside but solid bones, priced for a quick sale!
The good:
- Engine runs great, no issues, clean idle, always starts up, doesn’t burn oil or overheat, never tuned
- Solid body, no major frame rust
- Solid 5 speed transmission, clutch in good condition no slipping
- Timing belt kit done at 210xxx
- New PU bushings all around last summer
- New battery and terminals last winter
- Stainless magnaflow catback, no leaks
- 17” all seasons on OEM Mk5 GTI wheels
- 15” winters on OEM Mk4 TDI wheels
- OEM roof racks
- Have most receipts for work done on the car
- Clean title, normal branding
- Runs, drives, stops with no issues
- Sitting on Neuspeed lowering springs
- Shocks are solid, no leaks
- K&N cone filter intake
- Glove box still works perfectly
- 15mm hubcentric spacers with extended lugs in the back (have regular lugs for winter tires too)
- OEM catalytic converter
- Bluetooth tape deck adapter
The bad
- Driver door must be locked/unlocked from inside. The key cylinder doesn’t work and electrical locking stopped working last winter
- AC compressor is shot, no AC
- Headliner is ripped out
- Check engine light for evap issues (had this for 90% of the time I’ve owned the car)
- Airbag light came on after a battery terminal issue last winter but I’ve confirmed with VW tech that they’re still safe and functional
- ABS sometimes engages randomly when braking between 0-10kmh
- Dents, scratches, dings, chips, cosmetic rust all over the car
- Interior has seen better days
- Only has one key/fob
- Sitting on Neuspeed lowering springs
- K&N cone filter intake
This car is in rough shape and has a litany of little issues but it still runs, drives and stops just fine and frankly it’s still very fun to drive. All things considered, this is still a great car and I trust it. Priced for a quick sale in AS-IS condition. I have no clue what it might need for a safety and the buyer will assume all responsibility. Still waiting to get the UVIP in the mail
