What’s on offer?
A 2004 Volkswagen Polo with no valid TÜV (roadworthiness certificate). The vehicle shows typical wear and tear for its age:
- Stuck driver door (Fahrertür klemmt)
- Dead battery (Batterie leer)
- Rust damage on the rear wing (Rost am Kotflügel)
Key details:
- Price: €600 (Verkaufsbasis, VB)
- Body style: Sedan
- Year built: 2004 (EZ 04/2004)
Why consider this?
- Low price for a 2004 model with low mileage
- Running vehicle (motor runs)
- Potential project car for someone willing to invest in repairs
What to watch for
- No TÜV means the vehicle is not roadworthy in Germany; you would need to obtain a new TÜV before registration.
- Stuck door may require mechanical repair
- Dead battery may need replacement or jump-start
- Rust could indicate further bodywork needed
Next steps
- Verify the condition with a mechanic
- Check local regulations for driving a vehicle without a TÜV
- Consider the cost of repairs vs. purchase price
