Highlights:

Why choose this Tiguan?
A reliable and stylish SUV with full warranty, low mileage, and ready to hit the road.

The DSG gearboxes tend to jerk when pulling away, and dual-mass flywheel or mechatronic unit failures are not unusual at higher mileage.2009–2016
On first-generation cars, springs, dampers and axle mounts wear and rattle and are often flagged at inspection; the second generation passes the chassis check far more cleanly.2009–2016
German inspectors often note heavily worn brake discs on the second generation, along with occasional oil leaks.2016–2023
In the UK Driver Power owner survey for 2024 the outgoing Tiguan ranked 45th of 50 cars overall and 38th for quality and reliability.2016–2024
