Volkswagen Tiguan 2009

For Sale: 2012 Volkswagen Tiguan TSI Turbo – AS IS

Selling my 2012 Volkswagen Tiguan TSI Turbo, which was safetied on March 27, 2026.

I originally purchased this vehicle as a second car. After having it safetied, I attempted to clean the throttle body using Sea Foam based on a friend’s recommendation. After that, the vehicle started running improperly. It has since been sitting, and it currently cranks but will not start. The engine turns over when the key is turned, but the vehicle does not start.

I do not know the exact cause of the current problem, and I am not a mechanic. The mass airflow sensor or throttle body have been mentioned as possible areas to check, but nothing has been diagnosed or confirmed. The vehicle may require repairs or replacement parts, and buyers should inspect it or arrange their own mechanical assessment before purchasing.

Selling it as it currently sits, AS IS, WHERE IS.

Please keep in mind that it is not currently running, and I cannot guarantee what repairs or replacement parts it may need.
