For the T6, ADAC breakdowns drop from about 19 per 1,000 for 2015 registrations to about 7 for 2021–2022, with EGR failures on 2016–2017 vans.2015–2022
The twin-turbo 2.0 diesels (180 PS in the T5, 199/204 PS in the T6) are prone to EGR faults and costly engine damage, ADAC says, with high oil use also noted on the T6.2010–2024
Many French owners report T5 vans passing 200,000 km, one beyond 400,000 km, and a 2019 T6 owner reports 240,000 km, mostly without major faults when serviced regularly.2006–2019
