This 2005 GMC Envoy is listed as a Mechanic Special. While the vehicle runs and has a strong engine, it shows signs of wear typical for a used crossover. The front suspension is loose, there is a noticeable whirring noise that varies with vehicle speed, and the body exhibits rust. However, the car is complete with new winter tires, making it a potentially good project vehicle. The SLE trim includes standard features for its era. The listing is from a private seller (FSBO) in Calgary, Alberta.
If you’re looking for a budget-friendly project car with a strong engine and complete mechanicals, this GMC Envoy offers solid value. The new winter tires and functional 4WD make it roadworthy for short trips, while the mechanical issues are manageable for a skilled DIY mechanic. Keep in mind the mileage and wear before proceeding.
