Selling our 2013 Kia Rio SX hatchback. It’s been our only car for years and we’ve kept up with the maintenance throughout. We’ve upgraded to a bigger vehicle, so this one needs a new home. Being honest and thorough below so there are no surprises.

The good:
Automatic transmission
220,000 km
No accidents
Full service history, records available to view
New all-season tires, April 2026
New battery, April 2026
Second set of winter tires included
Aftermarket Kenwood stereo
Rubber mats and carpet mats included
Very little rust
Recently in for an oil change with nothing flagged

What it needs:
I had a pre-safety inspection done to see where it stood. I decided not to put the money into it before selling, so the price reflects that. The shop quoted:
Pads, rotors and a caliper, rear: $920
Pads and rotors, front: $550
Horn: $200 (works intermittently)
That’s a shop quote, so it would cost less if you do the work yourself. Apart from the above, nothing else was flagged.

Also worth noting:
Driver’s heated seat doesn’t work
Part of the plastic splash shield under the engine is torn
Small scratch in the paint, about 5 inches
Sold as-is, with no safety certificate. The buyer is responsible for certifying it before it can be plated. UVIP will be provided.
