Volkswagen Beetle 2001

Looking for something a little different? This 2001 VW Beetle is a fun, unique build with a ton of character and lots of new parts. Originally a COVID project, this Beetle has been lifted and outfitted with all-terrain tires, themed “safari” build and a great candidate for a winter runabout. I purchased it in 2022 from its original owner and have driven it as an extra vehicle over the last three years. Unfortunately, I no longer have the space or need for it. Condition & Things to Know
Overall, the car is in great shape for a 25-year-old vehicle, with very little rust and no leaks. It’s a fun, distinctive build with plenty of new parts and lots of life left as a local runabout or winter project.

A few honest notes:

• The transmission starts shifting a bit hard after approximately 1.5 hours of driving. It may need new solenoids, but this has not been diagnosed. Best suited for shorter trips until addressed.
• The airbag light is on. The driver-side seatbelt receiver needs replacement; the issue is believed to be related to its microswitch.
• Some suspension bushings are worn and could use attention.
• Otherwise, there are no other warning lights on the dash.

This isn’t a stock Beetle or a perfect daily driver, but it’s a fun, unusual build that’s had a lot of time, money and enthusiasm put into it. Could make a great winter car, local commuter or starting point for your own project.
