2014 Hyundai Santa Fe DM Elite - a capable 7-seater SUV that’s been a reliable workhorse.

This NZ new diesel SUV has the 2.2-litre diesel engine paired with an auto, making it economical for both commuting and longer trips. The 4WD system adds confidence in varied conditions, whether that’s wet roads or the occasional gravel track.

Being a 7-seater, there’s plenty of space for passengers and gear, which makes it practical for busy households or anyone needing that extra room. It comes fitted with a tow bar, reversing camera, sunroof, and an alarm for added security. I’ve found it easy to drive despite its size, and it’s been dependable throughout my ownership.

The car is in excellent condition and good working order. While it’s had one previous owner, it’s been well looked after and continues to run smoothly. The fuel efficiency of the diesel engine is a real bonus for keeping running costs down. I use 1/4 a tank when I drive to Dunedin or Christchurch.

I’ve also swapped out the stereo and out in car play, so easy navigate around on long road trips.
